The Dolby® Professional Reference Decoder DP580 allows you to monitor streams along multiple points of the broadcast chain. It provides a detailed analysis of Dolby audio streams, making it ideal for broadcast trials and manufacturers' test environments.
As the first reference decoder for Dolby AC-4 and Dolby Digital Plus with Atmos content, the Dolby DP580 enables validation of AC-4 and Dolby Digital Plus with Atmos bitstreams. The Dolby DP580 also monitors the enhanced features of Dolby Digital Plus™, including secondary audio bitstream mixing and 7.1-channel decoding.
With the Dolby DP580, you can perform quality control at any point within your headends. It also enables monitoring, display, and logging of all audio-related metadata and loudness.
The Dolby DP580 also includes support for HDMI® 1.4b with Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) device emulation, allowing emulation of HDMI repeater/sink devices such as A/V receivers and HDTVs.
